Longform iPad App

I read an article this evening titled, Longform iPad App Make Web Content Readable, about the new app for iPads and tablets that allows for "longform" articles. As the story suggests, most online articles are only 350-400 words in length due to the fact that many Internet readers lose interest and move to another site after the first several paragraphs. But the new longform app works similar to Google Reader and tags longer articles for individuals who have the app on their iPad or tablet. There is a word minimum of roughly 2,000 words for each tagged article.
This could wind up being a beneficial tool for future journalists. Tablets are already designed for readers who plan on reading stories. It makes sense to create an app geared towards these individuals. It will also provide a platform for journalists writing feature stories and articles of similar form.

  1. I like the idea too. It's funny to think of sorting content based on the length of the article.
