Hello again…
For those of you who are familiar with my blog, you already know who I am; for those of you who are not, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Nick Bentz and I am a print journalism major with a minor in public relations at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. This past summer was rather uneventful for me. Last semester I had intended on getting an internship for this past summer but was unsuccessful. I wound up working full-time at Target in Janesville working anywhere from 30 to 50 hours a week. Needless to say, my summer was anything but exciting.
However, I am excited to finally kickoff my senior year. This year is going to be incredibly busy given the fact that I am taking eighteen credits this semester but I know it will be worth it when I graduate in May of next year.
I am making it a personal goal to find an internship for next summer so I can further develop my abilities as a writer and as a future journalist. Next fall I intend on starting graduate school working on a master’s degree in communications here at UW-Whitewater. There are two different emphases within the communication graduate program: mass communication and corporate communication and it is my goal to figure out which one I will choose by the end of this semester.
